SUMMER CELEBRATION ICE-CREAM FESTIVAL

Who wants FREE ICE CREAM???

The real question should be, “Who doesn’t want free ice cream?” As many of you may remember, for the last couple of years, Birthday Panda has made the rounds to several Toronto West End parks to bring the cooling sweetness of free ice cream and other frozen treats to neighbourhood families. Now, Birthday Panda is actually a close personal friend of the Smith Proulx Real Estate Team, and those guys have been helping clients in the Toronto West End for over 30 years.

This year, Sunday June 12^th, Birthday Panda was so happy to be out again with the Smith Proulx team sharing icy goodies with the kids! And I have to admit, more than a few adults joined in the fun as well … and why not? Kids of all ages from Toronto West End were welcome.

With the help of the popular Bow Tie Ice Cream Truck, the  retro style ice cream van so well known in the area, about 500 plus folks hungry for premium ice cream got to dig in. Birthday Panda made an appearance for an hour each at 5 parks, including Vine Park in the The Junction, Lithuania Park & Ravina Gardens in High Park, Beresford Park in Bloor West Village and Rennie Park over in Swansea.

Birthday Panda just loved driving around to all those shady parks and meeting the kids, who were actually waiting for Panda’s arrival and looking forward to their ice cream. Rain was forecast for the day, but there is something magical about Birthday Panda that brought out the sun just enough, so the people wouldn’t be disappointed.

And it just so happens that these are not only Birthday Panda’s favourite places to hang out; they also the neighbourhoods where the Smith Proulx team has been busy serving clients for over 30 years!

Panda was greeting the kids from noon to 5:00pm that Sunday, and some 400 lucky people got served. Stay tuned for news of the Panda’s next appearance! People say it could be around Halloween, but you just never know!
